While the holiday season had its challenges for many, we at the Southern Nevada Health District hope it was also full of festive fun, traveling the globe, enjoying tasty treats, and gathering with your loved ones — as safely as possible, of course!
As we dive into this new year, there are countless ways you can resolve to protect yourself and your loved ones. For example, one of the easiest and most effective ways of doing so is by receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and getting your booster dose if you are eligible.
And luckily for us, there are additional precautions that we can and should take as well. Like frequently washing our hands with soap and water, maintaining social distancing while out and about, scheduling COVID-19 tests before attending get-togethers, and wearing a well-fitted mask in public indoor spaces or crowded settings.
For those who are experiencing symptoms, we advise that you stay home until you are able to schedule your COVID-19 test and receive your negative test results. Because when it comes to our health and the safety of others, it’s our responsibility to take the necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment for all.
